Joining Forces for Prevention

Joining Forces for Prevention is a collaboration with the Eastern Lancaster County and Pequea Valley School Districts as well as COBYS and Compass Mark to implement a multi-tiered prevention strategy. Currently funded by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the project will provide support to the community, middle school students and families in order to in order to prevent the onset of substance misuse. The long term goal is to prevent opioid abuse later in life by reducing the risk factors that lead to substance misuse in general and opioids in particular.

This program can help your family build better relationships. Join us to learn how you can strengthen family bonds by learning to manage emotions, peer pressure-resistance skills, goal-setting, and decision making
You will learn how to show love while setting limits, how to listen to your youth and different ways family members can show appreciation to each other.
